Our Dentists

Dr. Reem Rostom

Dr. Rostom is a three-time Dalhousie University graduate, holding a Bachelor of Science with Honours in Microbiology and Immunology, a Master of Science, and a Doctor of Dental Surgery.

Her clinical career began in the Canadian Armed Forces, where she managed complex dental cases and first developed a strong interest in temporomandibular disorders. She later completed advanced training in orofacial pain in the United States under internationally recognized mentors, and is a member of the Atlantic Mentorship Network – Pain and Addictions.

After witnessing firsthand the significant physical and emotional toll TMD takes on patients, Dr. Rostom chose to dedicate her practice exclusively to orofacial pain. In April 2022, she relocated her practice to Bedford to join Dr. Stacie Saunders. Together, they are committed to treating patients ethically, with integrity, and through evidence-based care.

Dr. Saunders was born and raised in Nova Scotia and graduated from Dalhousie University with both a Bachelor of Science and a Doctor of Dental Surgery in 1995, receiving awards for exemplary patient care. She went on to complete a three-year postgraduate clinical residency in Orofacial Pain, Oral Medicine, and TMD at the University of Alberta, where she served as Chief Resident of the Orofacial Pain and Temporomandibular Clinic.

Board-Certified in Orofacial Pain since 2003 and a Fellow of the American Academy of Orofacial Pain since 2005, Dr. Saunders is currently the only Board-Certified Diplomate in Atlantic Canada. She has taught at both the University of Alberta and Dalhousie University, and has served as an expert witness in medico-legal matters involving motor vehicle collisions, Workers' Compensation claims, and military and RCMP personnel.

Having treated orofacial pain patients exclusively since 1999, Dr. Saunders offers comprehensive care including appliance therapy, pharmacotherapy, nerve blocks, Botox® for pain management (since 2001), and collaborative care with physiotherapists, neurologists, sleep specialists, psychologists, and surgeons. Her goal is always an accurate diagnosis and a treatment plan tailored to the individual patient.

Baleigh Purcell-Beauchamp

Baleigh completed her massage therapy training at Eastern College and has been practicing since 2020. Her approach is client-centred — each treatment is tailored to the individual, whether the goal is relief from chronic pain, recovery from injury, or relaxation.

Baleigh has a particular interest in TMJ dysfunction and chronic pain, and has pursued additional training in cupping therapy, TMJ Dysfunction Level One, prenatal massage, chronic pain management, and RAPID NeuroFascial Reset.

Outside the clinic, she enjoys the outdoors and staying active with her family and two dogs.
